I blogged a few months ago about how I started the Korean Double Cleanse. My face feels cleaner and I am noticing that my skin is also clearer!
After I finished my last water based cleanser (Estee Lauder Soft Clean Moisture Rich Foaming Cleanser) I decided to try something new. I asked a friend what she was using and she recommended the Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam so I decided to give it a try.
Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam
The Innisfree Jeju volcanic pore cleansing foam is billed as a cleanser which contains little bits of volcanic scoria from the Korean island of Jeju to absorb sebum and to purify pores. The scoria is an alkaline substance.
Packaging & Price Point
The cleanser comes in a tube packaging which is very hygienic. The tube I purchased is 5.09 oz. I believe it also comes in a 10 oz sized tube. Shelf life is listed as 36 months after initial opening.
Price point is fairly affordable. I paid about $10 at Amazon and it’s such a large tube for how much you use, it will last a long time.
Application
I find that a pea sized squeeze is all I need to lather up and cover my entire face. I think this means my tube will last FOREVER since it is huge for the small amount of product that I use! Haha.
I take special care to avoid the eye area, as I accidently got it in my eyes once and it stung a bit. Nothing serious, but it was unpleasant.
Results
My face feels squeaky clean after I wash using this cleanser. I’ve read that this is actually not really the feeling you want when you wash your face, but gosh it feels so good. I guess it’s like a “hurts so good” thing? Haha! According to Fifty Shades of Snail, the squeaky feeling is your moisture barrier being stripped away. Nooooo! After I wash my face, I don’t feel *tight* though, so perhaps it is ok for my skin… at least I hope it is!
